6 Session Salaried GP Role - Falkland Surgery
GP Salaried flexible
Falkland Surgery is a well-established, progressive and friendly training practice. We are looking for an enthusiastic salaried doctor to work 6 sessions per week. The candidate would be responsible for holding their own clinical list and we aim for continuity of care.
* Falkland is a 6 partner, 3 salaried GP practice: big enough to share the workload but small enough to be a closely supportive team.
* GMS practice allied with forward thinking Kennet PCN.
* We pride ourselves on our open-door policy to sharing clinical issues. Use of our shared working space is encouraged to allow collaborative working and peer support.
* We operate a triage system for both EConsult and telephone access which allows us to prioritise appointment requests according to clinical criteria. We incorporate sufficient on-the-day appointments to achieve this without “extra” patients.
* We prioritise a positive work-life balance. We encourage collective wellbeing and our clinicians go running or walking at lunchtime. Our most recent in-house training afternoon focused on health coaching for all staff members.
* As a training practice, we excel at providing individual mentorship and support for new staff.
We have a diverse and skilled team including:
* 2 Clinical Pharmacists with a prescribing technician support.
* Excellent clinical administrative support.
* First Contact Physiotherapists, in-house physiotherapy clinic.
* Primary Care Paramedic.
* Frailty matrons: covering nursing home ward rounds and home visits, resulting in low rates of GP visits.
* Social Prescriber Link Workers to work with GPs and support them in delivering effective and autonomous consultations.
* Very experienced practice nurses providing high-quality chronic disease management clinics and family planning/HRT services.
We use Emis Web with Ardens searches and templates, Docman, eConsult and Accurx.
Coils/implants and minor surgery and joint injections in-house.
Newbury is a thriving market town with a mixed urban and rural patient population. There is beautiful surrounding countryside and great transport links. There are highly rated local schools.
We welcome informal visits prior to application and/or interview.
