About the Role
Bring your expertise of value engineering and strategic cost advice as a Senior Quantity Surveyor to my developer client with their project based in Kent. You will be responsible for the commercial management of multiple residential schemes, including medium-rise blocks and terraced homes. Duties and Responsibilities
* Oversee the commercial management of multiple residential projects.
* Prepare and manage cost plans, budgets, and forecasts.
* Conduct valuations, variations, and final accounts.
* Negotiate contracts and procure subcontractors and materials.
* Identify and mitigate commercial risks while maximising value.
* Work closely with site teams to ensure cost-effective project delivery.
* Provide accurate financial reporting and cost control.
* Ensure compliance with contractual and legal obligations.
Requirements
* Proven experience as a Senior Quantity Surveyor in the residential sector.
* Strong understanding of housebuilding and multi-unit residential developments.
* Experience managing costs on projects ranging from medium-rise blocks to terraced homes.
* Strong contractual knowledge (JCT experience preferred).
* Excellent negotiation, communication, and problem-solving skills.
* Degree-qualified in Quantity Surveying or a related field (or equivalent experience).
* Ability to work autonomously and as part of a wider project team.
