Job Title: Site Manager
Location: New Barn School, Newbury
Salary: Up to £40,000 dependent on experience and qualifications
Hours: 40 hours per week; Monday to Friday
Contract: Permanent

As part of our continued growth, we now have a fantastic opportunity for a Site Manager to join our close-knit team at New Barn School located in Newbury.
Job purpose
To ensure that a high-quality facilities service is provided to our schools.
Key task areas and responsibilities
1. Manage the facilities team and provide day-to-day supervision for planned and responsible repair programmes, domestic tasks, and catering duties (Service dependent).
2. Ensure that the facilities provided are of a high standard at all times and that the facilities team exercise their full responsibilities, duties, and tasks.
3. Coordinate the relevant areas of the capital and operational expenditure.
4. Monitor and audit schedules of work and the quality of completed projects.
5. Liaise with external providers to ensure cost-effective contracts are in place and reviewed regularly.
6. Prioritise and organise planned and responsive workload for all areas of responsibility.
7. Manage all on-call/out-of-hours response rotas to ensure satisfactory outcomes and be part of the on-call team.
8. Obtain maximum economy and efficiency in all works.
9. Ensure risk assessments and procedures are in place and in accordance with Company standards.
10. Advise and support the team with issues relating to Health and Safety, food hygiene, fire management, and building-related legislative technical matters.
11. Develop maintenance programmes to cover responsive, cyclical, and planned maintenance and repair works.
Essential:
1. Full UK driver’s licence.
2. Previous maintenance experience.
3. Good numeracy and literacy skills.
