The Health Care Operations Department are looking to recruit a part-time Data Input Validation Clerk within the Data Team based at Leigh Infirmary, working 18.75hrs per week.
It is essential that you possess experience of Patient Centre (CSC system) and a proven record of high-level data entry accuracy. It is also desirable that you have a good level of knowledge and understanding of 18 weeks principles including RTT measurement.

Main duties of the job
We require a motivated, enthusiastic individual who possesses excellent interpersonal and communication skills with an ability to work effectively within a team.
It is important that you have first-class customer service skills along with a professional telephone manner and an ability to communicate effectively at all levels.
You must also have knowledge of general office systems and protocols in a customer-related environment.
It is necessary to be flexible and able to adapt quickly to change and altering work patterns. Will be covering various admin and clerical duties in line with service demands. Must be educated to GCSE level or equivalent.
Job responsibilities
The main duties of this role are:
1. Be responsible for collecting and inputting high-quality, accurate data using the appropriate systems.
2. Ensure accurate and timely data collection and recording to maximise Trust income.
3. Ensure that data already held on the Patient Centre system is accurate, up to date and fit for purpose, applying adjustment to patient pathways where appropriate in line with policy, responding to and undertaking any outcomes of validation and data quality checks.
4. Display a professional attitude at all times when dealing with the general public and colleagues alike whilst using effective communication skills to influence the outcome in issues causing concern.
5. Assist Trust employees with any queries concerning data recorded.
6. Maintain databases, filing systems in a timely and accurate manner, ensuring that other team members are able to locate documents/information in your absence.
7. Apply Trust and National policies and procedures in order to achieve internal and external targets and deadlines.
8. Be responsible for the quality and accuracy of all data input of both written and electronic information that they are recording.
9. Resolve queries and redirect enquiries by utilising the knowledge and implementation of the 'Booking Methodology' and 'Waiting Time' targets.
10. Undertake general clerical tasks as appropriate e.g. filing, photocopying.
11. Report any incidents/accidents to the supervisor and participate in the investigation by completing necessary documentation and any relevant follow-up processes.
12. Maintain flexible working arrangements and provide cross cover in times of sickness and absence of colleagues in order to facilitate the continuity of the service and to meet reporting deadlines.
13. Demonstrate effective communication using the spoken and written word to influence the outcome.
14. Receive and process all messages in accordance with instructions.
15. Utilise the Trust's IT resources appropriately in line with the policies and procedures.
16. Maintain accurate, timely and legible written and electronic records.
Person Specification
Qualifications
* Educated to GCSE (or equivalent) or demonstrate equivalent level of experience.
* To hold NVQ 2 clerical qualification or equivalent.
* ECDL or equivalent IT qualification.
Experience
* Experience of Patient Centre (CSC system).
* Experience of working in a busy, pressurised customer-focused environment dealing with frequent interruptions.
* Recent work experience with an administration/office setting.
* Experience of using IT systems in the workplace.
* Recent work experience within a healthcare administration setting.
Skills
* Able to demonstrate keyboard skills with high level of data entry accuracy.
* To demonstrate a good telephone manner.
* Must work well as part of a team but also able to work on own initiative.
