As a Children’s Activity Instructor, you will be responsible for engaging and inspiring children through various activities, ensuring their safety and enjoyment while fostering their development.
What you’ll do:
1. Comply with the commitments outlined in the ‘Customer Charter’, ensuring that standards are maintained as stipulated.
2. Ensure that all compliance is followed.
3. Follow the legal requirements in line with Ofsted legislation.
4. Ensure you follow all relevant administration procedures.
5. Ensure that every child is given equality of opportunity and they are all included and supported.
6. Ensure care of over 8’s does not adversely affect the care of the under 8’s.
7. Keep all areas and equipment checked and cleaned as per the cleaning matrix.
8. Deal with, log, and report all safeguarding issues to the Children Activity Supervisor.
What you need:
9. Appropriate professional qualifications or experience working with children aged 5 years and above.
10. Qualified and trained to a minimum Level 2 in Child Care / Play work or a Level 2 coaching qualification is desirable.
11. Good understanding of the characteristics and qualities that guardians expect from a childcare provision.
12. Knowledge of Ofsted Legislation.
13. Knowledge of Health and Safety Legislation.
14. Knowledge of GLL Safeguarding Policies, Procedures, and Code of Conduct on Safer Working Practices.
15. Suitable level of experience working with children under 8 or a relevant child care / play work qualification.
16. Experience of delivering an enabling environment whilst responding to children’s individual needs.
