We are looking for dynamic, experienced midwives to join our Band 7 team of Labour Ward Coordinators.The post holder will provide clinical leadership and carry overall responsibility for the management and co-ordination of a team of midwives, support worker and students within triage, MLU and obstetric led unit. Main duties of the job You will need to be able to demonstrate excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with a driving passion and determination to support the senior midwifery team in line with the exciting national picture of care and compassion, as well as a local picture of quality improvement. You will need to have good knowledge and skill base of both midwifery clinical practice and local leadership.You will coordinate a team of midwives and develop practice as a midwifery expert; providing advice to colleagues in the organisation and working in partnership with a range of other agencies.Leading by example is crucial in collaborative working within the multidisciplinary team to maintain the Trust s values and maternity s philosophy of care.
