Job overview
Are you a registered nurse looking for a new challenge? If so, this is an ideal opportunity for you to join our dialysis team at Altrincham Renal Satellite Dialysis Unit on a permanent basis.
We are seeking a highly motivated and innovative Registered Nurse to help us deliver high-quality care to our patients. You need to have a passion for delivering care to our out-patient dialysis patients and be able to adapt and work in different settings.
We aim to support dialysis patients in their choice of flexibility and independence, which will result in better health, fewer medications, and less lifestyle restrictions imposed by conventional schedules. We strive for excellence and play a major role in advancing renal care nationally, whilst Nephrology nursing provides a rare opportunity to care for people with chronic complex conditions and influence positive outcomes. You can expect training that will enable you to become competent in haemodialysis, in return for your skills, enthusiasm, and commitment. We offer fantastic development, career opportunities, and a supportive management structure to develop and achieve your potential as a Band 5 Registered Nurse.
Main duties of the job
The post holder will prioritize, assess, plan, evaluate, and deliver all relevant aspects of care to an agreed and expected high standard. Work closely with the multi-disciplinary team and contribute to the clinical governance process. Act as a mentor/preceptor to junior staff, with specific responsibility for pre-registration students. Participate fully in structured competency-based programmes as required.
The post holder will take delegated responsibility for the management of the clinical team on a shift basis, taking overall responsibility for effective management of the team and the maintenance of high standards of quality care to the client group.
We strive for excellence. In return for your motivation and passion for delivering outstanding care, you can expect training that will enable you to become a proficient hemodialysis nurse. You will also have your own structured personal development plan and be welcomed as part of the team.
The unit is open 6 days a week - closing on Sundays and overnight.
