Description
The AXA and SWC Trading team is excited to announce an opportunity for a motivated Product Owner, who is passionate about innovation and driving growth. You’ll be the focal point for our Product Squad, dedicated to delivering new and enhancing existing customer experiences to achieve customer satisfaction and outstanding commercial outcomes.
As a Product Owner, you’ll deliver both business and customer value through your ownership of the product - the AXA and Swiftcover Motor and Home experiences. You’ll be responsible for executing the vision, strategy, and roadmap for your product, ensuring alignment with business and tribe goals throughout the entire product lifecycle, from design and delivery to ongoing operations.
At AXA, we work smart, empowering our people to balance their time between home and the office in a way that works best for them, their team, and our customers. You'll work at least 40% of your week away from home, moving to the majority of your working week from September 2025. Away from home means either attendance at one of our office locations, visiting clients, or attending industry events. We’re also happy to consider flexible working arrangements, which you can discuss with Talent Acquisition.
What you’ll be doing:
1. Define product vision and strategy, ensuring alignment with AXA/SWC business goals to drive innovation and growth.
2. Collaborate with Analytics, Trading, and Pricing teams to establish a strategic change delivery plan, leveraging performance metrics to identify improvement opportunities.
3. Manage and prioritize the product backlog, reflecting current business needs, customer priorities, and risk appetite to ensure effective development.
4. Ensure high-quality product releases by delivering features that meet defined acceptance criteria and maintain rigorous quality standards.
5. Deliver customer value by ensuring the product fulfills business requirements and enhances user experience, leading to measurable benefits.
6. Achieve on-time, on-budget product delivery by implementing effective project management practices and resource allocation.
7. Engage stakeholders throughout the development process, actively incorporating their feedback and maintaining a shared understanding of priorities and progress.
Due to the high volume of applications we expect to receive, we reserve the right to close this advert earlier than the listed closing date to manage interest effectively. Therefore, if you’re interested in joining AXA, please don’t hesitate to apply.
What you’ll bring:
1. Previous experience in Agile methodologies with an understanding of how to deliver product increments.
2. Experience managing and prioritizing backlogs, ensuring they contain well-defined user stories, features, and fixes.
3. Proven leadership skills to inspire and energize cross-functional teams.
4. Ability to collaborate with stakeholders including business owners, engineering, design, and marketing to align on product goals and priorities.
5. Ability to create detailed user stories that meet development requirements.
6. Strong problem-solving and prioritization skills with adaptability to changing priorities.
7. Experience with data-driven decision making, using data and analytics to track product performance, measure feature impact, and inform decisions.
As a precondition of employment, you must be eligible and authorized to work in the United Kingdom.
