You will be joining a busy team that works across children and adults supporting the Manchester Safeguarding Partnership to meet its statutory responsibilities in relation to Safeguarding Adult Reviews. You will need an understanding the strengths and weaknesses of safeguarding practice, identifying and acting upon emerging issues/themes through analysis, benchmarking and research. You will provide Scrutiny of qualitative and performance information in relation to the action plans from our safeguarding adult reviews. You will hold each partner agency to account for their performance and to improve service delivery and ensure the provision of appropriate and co-ordinated services to deliver positive outcomes for Manchester residents. You will work collaboratively with partner agencies and stakeholders to establish common goals to achieve joint objectives to plan and deliver services to meet the needs of individuals. You will lead on the evaluation and development of the Manchester Safeguarding Partnership assurance and review function for adult safeguarding reviews and will have an active involvement in the research and evaluation functions of the partnership through task and finish project work, stakeholder communication and engagement, to ensure the best possible outcomes for individuals and their families. You will support the team through the provision of advice and supervision to colleagues, contributing to the ongoing development of staff. About the Candidate We are looking for someone who has: The ability to negotiate difficult agreements with wide impact; ability to influence or persuade internal or external stakeholders. The ability to absorb, understand and quickly assimilate complex information and concepts and compare information from a number of different sources. Excellent prioritisation skills, evidenced by targets setting for self and others to meet demanding timescales. The ability to formulate independently a range of options for new or unfamiliar situations and to select the appropriate course of action to produce a logical, practical and acceptable solution. An ability to make independent decisions of a relatively uniform nature. Resource and financial management skills to develop effective planning, financial management and reporting frameworks. Manage allocated resources effectively, delivering business performance and value for money The Ability to inspire individuals to give their best to achieve a desired result and maintains effective relationships with individuals and the team as a whole, to ensure that the team is equipped to achieve objectives set according to the overall business need.
