This business’s main site sits within Lancashire, but they have recently opened a second UK site not to far down the road! They have invested £40million into this new site, with it focusing more on specific brands as opposed to their wider private label function. The business sits within the SSL food space and have a very diverse team with a 57/43 M-F split. People here get support and full development which has led to the best business retention rate in their space! This role reports into the Supply Chain Director and will encompass a lot of different skillsets all focused on driving efficiencies with customers and suppliers. Key focuses will include stock control, analysing a lot of data and utilising it to the optimum to drive this. You need to be an Excel whizz and strong with Power BI. If you have experience in implementing your own systems as well then that will be a brucey bonus!
Key responsibilities include:
To lead the stock control team to drive strong service level performance of suppliers into the business focusing on:
* Accurate and timely forecasting of materials to suppliers
* Optimising stock holding level of raw materials/factored goods at site and at the supplier
* Implementing supply chain strategy tracking goods from origin to destination
* Analysing the supply chain data, solving any issues and putting in contingency plans in place
* Own supplier performance reviews and improvement plans where required
* Reviewing and updating supply chain practices in line with company policies, standards, laws and regulations to drive performance
* Identifying and adopt new technology to minimise risk and drive efficiency
* Develop, monitor and report weekly KPI’s across supply chain
* Take an active role in the senior management team to drive the business forward
You will:
* Have advanced Excel skills
* Experience in Power BI
* Have proven leadership skills and experience managing a team.
* Have the ability to establish and develop relationship with key suppliers
* Be proactive and be action orientated
* Have FCMG experience ideally within a food business.
* European experience and multisite experience are a bonus!
