From improving search relevance with data insights and keyword mapping to managing onsite filters and driving personalization, you’ll make every click count. Your role will also include crafting an engaging visual merchandising approach, strategically positioning products, and enabling effective cross-selling and upselling to drive sales and enhance the customer journey. By collaborating with cross-functional teams, you’ll ensure our strategies align with customer behaviours and business goals, using tools like GA4 and ContentSquare to refine every aspect of the digital experience. Reporting directly into the Senior Merchandising Manager, you will be playing a pivotal role in defining our Onsite Search, Visual Merchandising and Onsite Hierarchy strategy, aiding a customer is getting to product and shopping our huge range of SKUs and Categories Manage and steer the relationship with our Search & Merch provider, delivering a customer centric approach and helping us reach our goal of achieving a hyper personalised approach to Search & Merch. Build and own our Search & Merch strategy to leverage our wealth of 1 st Party Data and translate this across our Websites, App & In Store Digital Browsers. Challenge existing processes, remove opinion-based merchandising and drive an algorithmic, data driven baseline strategy that has been tested and iterated upon to drive performance and achieve core merchandising KPI’s Evaluate our Digital Tooling, to ensure we are moving with the ever-evolving ecommerce landscape and offering our customers the best experience possible across our Website, App and Instore Digital Browsers Collaborate with Digital Trading, Digital Marketing, CRO & Retail Media teams to ensure that the discoverability of our products aligns to consumer behaviour and balances our internal commercial expectations to drive business performance Help define our website hierarchy, providing a 1 st class shopping experience for our digital customers, using digital data to define our approach and optimise for SEO Devise strategies around Slow-Moving Lines, New Products, Discontinued and how we portray these to customers in a way that drives Conversion & Revenue without being detrimental to the customer journey Manage and own our onsite facet filters, where we are looking to prioritise, these based on customer behaviours and suggest new facet filter subsets to drive incremental performance Leverage Digital Tools such as ContentSquare & GA4 to understand how customers interact with Onsite Search, Product Listing Pages, Product Detail Pages and Product Recommendation Zones to shape recommendations and make optimisations to the customer journey. Review and interrogate onsite search and merch data daily to continuously optimise the experience, as well as share learnings with trading for ranging opportunities. Drive change to the online category strategy based on insights from customers, competitors, brand strategy, and e-commerce goals. Stay informed about industry trends, customer preferences, and competitor activity to identify opportunities for product placements, new journey types and onsite features. Discuss and agree recommendations with the Senior Digital Merchandising Manager to align on next steps/actions and ensure that these fit into the over arching strategy for the function Collaborate with the business on both major and minor digital campaigns and events, adapting the website, app and in store digital browsers as required to drive results, achieve KPI’s and meet campaign objectives Analytical skills to analyse & interpret data to make timely and considered decisions & actions. Ability to use GA4 and other merchandising tools at and advanced level Preferable experience in Content Square or hot jar and Bazaar Voice Full understanding of SEO including, technical and back linking Experience using 3 rd party tools specifically related to UGC. In depth understanding of search journeys and platform capabilities, with preferred experience in Fredhopper or Algolia Extensive experience in a similar role, preferably retail Experience in managing and developing teams.
