About the role Working as a part of the Corporate Affairs Packaging team, your expertise on Change Communication will support the wider transformation communication agenda, whilst your main focus will be on the Customer Experience transformation programme. With the overall objective of making DS Smith both the easiest and preferred company to do business with for our customers, you will have the unique opportunity to drive the transformation of CX at a pivotal point in its history. You will work closely with different parts of the organisation to create engagement, excitement, adoption and ownership of the CX transformation agenda. This role will require extensive experience, energy and drive to start from scratch and work with the relevant functions to establish an aligned engagement and communication strategy, plan and deployment. Your remit will include but not limited to: Own the creation of the internal (change) communications strategy and plan for different stakeholder groups in close alignment with the CX Change Manager and the wider business internal communication agenda; Drive the channel strategy in support of your communication strategy and plan, leveraging existing channels and exploring other creative opportunities that align to the ambitious CX Vision; Support programme reporting and leadership presentations with collateral that highlight successes and brings messages to life; Ensure organisational initiatives and programme results and aims are successfully communicated to employees and stakeholders noted within the stakeholder map; Onboard and manage required suppliers to deliver on your strategy, as well as be hands on in collateral development and deployment; Plan, edit, write content and manage channels for a variety of internal communications mediums, such as a staff intranet, Teams channels, Viva Engage, Month Newsletter and regular email bulletin; Work closely with the relevant CX team members to understand what project updates or messages are ready to be communicated, as well as with regional team members around deployment. About you Educated to a degree level (or equivalent combination of education and experience); Proven experience and knowledge of change communication principles, change and project management methodologies; Ability to develop and deliver communications strategies and plans for large transformational projects, across multiple channels and audiences; Compelling storyteller with excellent communication skills to adapt to all levels of the organisation; creativity in delivering complex messages in highly engaging and exciting way; Demonstrable evidence of positively influencing employee engagement at all levels of the business; Experience in managing communication agencies; Excellent analytical skills & problem-solving ability (root cause identification); Fluent in English and ideally at least one other European language; Flexibility to travel, be on site where the action needs to happen.
