The Opportunity
Our Kaefer Ireland site is looking for a Learning & Development Lead to join the team on a Full-time permanent basis at our Jarrow (Head Office), Kaefer UK & Ireland site.
MAIN PURPOSE OF ROLE
1. The Learning & Development Lead will assist the Head of Engagement and Development in the execution of the KAEFER UK&I learning and development strategy and annual learning/training plan, including the development, coordination and facilitation of strategic development programmes and learning-based activity to KAEFER UK&I’s middle management population and supporting functions.
2. This role will work in collaboration with key stakeholders at all levels (from operatives and supervisors, through to operational managers) to ensure development solutions are appropriate, consistent and advantageous for the business.
3. The post holder will have a thorough understanding of the ADDIE process and will use this approach when designing development interventions, providing sustainable development solutions for the business.
4. Professional with high standard in own personal presentation, the Learning & Development Lead will be effective and influential on subjects with others at all levels, have coaching experience, and the ability to effectively coach individuals in the application of behavioural development.
Key Duties & Responsibilities:
1. Responsible for planning and delivering strategic development programmes and learning-based activity to the KAEFER UK&I middle management population and supporting functions, including the design, coordination and delivery of learning solutions, material accreditation, and activity which supports the annual priorities of the UK&I learning and development strategy.
2. Proactive in conducting regular formal and informal needs analysis for aligned areas of the business, identifying performance needs and gaps, developing and facilitating the delivery of learning solutions to the business when needed.
3. Using the ADDIE process, designs, delivers and coordinates identified management capability development and/or learning projects for business enabling priorities.
4. Supports the development of a UK&I annual learning plan related to identified performance gaps and management development needs.
5. Act as a change agent, lead, promote and support workforce learning, and capability improvement initiatives based upon business specific requirements.
6. Become the Skills Builder ‘Master Builder’ Trainer, gaining certification within the Essential Skills programme to ensure a sustainable approach to skills development within KAEFER UK&I.
7. Remain current on learning and development related tools, techniques, strategies and practices in order to provide relevant, informed consultative advice to colleagues, SME’s and key stakeholders.

Requirements of role:
1. CIPD L&D Level 3 (Essential), Level 5 (Desirable).
2. 5 years + (with emphasis on management development).
3. ILM Level 5 or equivalent / 5 years+ managerial experience.
