Purpose of the role
The Managed Services Sales Specialist is an expert advisor on the Daisy Managed Services portfolio, supporting the Daisy Sales Team as a consultant for both new logo and existing clients. As a Sales Specialist you will be responsible for driving the growth of the Managed Services portfolio and other Daisy services, sourcing new business opportunities to sell to a target customer base in both private and public sector.
The Managed Services Sales Specialist will drive the sales engagement across the Managed Services portfolio for our customers. In addition, this role is responsible for identifying and winning new logo customers to Daisy using sales, marketing, and vendor initiatives to expand Daisy‘s presence within the commercial and public sectors.
The role is predominantly customer facing, requiring ownership of, and an ability to develop, drive and execute all phases of the sales cycle. This includes, but is not limited to, the identification and qualification of opportunities, solution presentation, commercial negotiation, order processing, and working with PreSales colleagues to produce high level solution designs and quotes.
The candidate should be comfortable working in a dynamic environment and capable of prioritising workload based on the customer’s expectations whilst following internal governance demands of the business.
What you will be doing
1. To become a subject matter expert for Daisy Managed Services solutions, demonstrating product and industry credibility to customers and internal teams
2. To negotiate sales transactions
3. To work with Sales teams, business transformation and marketing to proactively identify Managed Services sales opportunities in the Daisy account base and new accounts
4. To understand customer business objectives and match these to relevant solutions
5. To understand customer technical and commercial requirements, build and present solutions that meet these requirements
6. To learn, understand and articulate Daisy’s value proposition
7. To build strong internal relationships integral to facilitating a strong team environment
8. Contribute to the development of the Daisy Managed Services proposition, working with the Tower Head, specialists, Product managers, vendors and customer base.
9. To achieve relevant sales and vendor certifications
10. Carry out any ‘ad hoc’ assignments as and when required
11. To be compliant with health and safety company policy and legislation
Qualifications
12. Significant experience in a consultative sales role within Managed Service Solutions arena
13. Proven experience as a quota bearing sales contributor with demonstrable success at selling Manage Service solutions.
14. Candidates should be familiar with modern Managed Services solutions
15. The successful candidate will demonstrate a proven track record of sales performance and a strong understanding of the UK Managed Services marketplace including end user services, technical managed services/traditional support towers and SIAM models..
16. Experience with key vendors in your specialism
17. Strong understanding of the marketplace, technologies and emerging trends in your specialism
18. Experienced at presenting strategic solutions to C-Suite
19. Ambitious, focused and goal orientated
20. Flexible and able to adapt to change with a drive to self-improve
21. Extensive sales experience within the UK Managed Services marketplace
22. Proven track record achieving sales targets
23. Experience creating, managing, negotiating, and closing substantial Managed Services contracts
24. Excellent communication skills ranging from persuasive skills on a one-to-one basis to presentation skills to groups
25. Exhibit an ability to learn quickly and pass this acquired knowledge on to others
26. Excellent verbal and written communication skills
27. Ideally well versed in Microsoft Office and Salesforce
28. Able to set goals and standards of performance in order to achieve short-, medium- and long-term objectives
29. Enthusiastic and self-motivated
30. Supports colleagues and works to deliver for the team rather than the individual
31. Exceptional numeric skills and a keen attention to detail
32. Demonstrate key relationships with or an understanding of market leading vendors
