Job summary
This is an exciting opportunity to join our forward-thinking pharmacy team. We are looking for a qualified individual to lead our clinical pharmacy service for 6 months whilst the NCA restructure its Pharmacy service. The post holder will be part of the sites pharmacy senior management team and work alongside the lead pharmacist for medicine to oversee clinical pharmacy provision on both the Bury and Rochdale Care Organisation sites.

Main duties of the job
The post holder is responsible for the provision of a high quality clinical pharmacy service which meets the needs of patients and healthcare professionals within and associated with the Trust. Assists in the management and development of the clinical services delivered by the pharmacy and supports the activity of the team of clinical pharmacists and trainee pharmacists, clinically supervising their training and ensuring that professional and quality standards comply with national and local guidance. Undertakes clinical training and supervision of pharmacy staff and teaching of nursing and medical staff. Is professionally accountable for any pharmacy function for which they assume responsibility.

Qualifications
Essential
1. Vocational masters degree in pharmacy or equivalent
2. Registered with GPhC
3. Postgraduate Clinical Pharmacy Qualification
Desirable
4. Non Medical Prescribing Qualification
5. Management Qualification
Knowledge Skills Experience
Essential
6. Substantial post registration clinical experience in hospital pharmacy
7. Current experience of provision of clinical pharmacy services to acute wards.
8. Excellent written communication
9. Understanding of issues affecting NHS & hospital pharmacy.
10. Demonstrable Commitment to continuing professional development
11. Ability to work under pressure
12. Knowledge of the role of the pharmacist in medicines management
