Therefore, we require a hard-working, open-minded, passionate & humble individual within the role of Academy Medical Lead. The purpose of the role will be to: To create a world-leading environment by managing, coordinating and supervising all medical provision for academy player’s and directly providing physiotherapy provision for our U18s or U21s age-group. This exciting new position in our Academy will be responsible for: • The direct injury management of professional development players and eventually supervising the management of injuries to U9 – U16s. • Designing injury prevention programmes & processes. • The effective line management of all other academy medical staff.• Ensuring all academy medical records and audits are safely stored & well maintained. • Creating a programme of appropriate medical screenings for all academy players.• Ensuring all medical stock & equipment is well maintained & managed. • Ensuring appropriate medical provision for all academy training sessions & matches. • Ensuring the academy medical department is compliant to the youth development rules at all times. About The Candidate Do you have what it takes? The successful candidate will need to hold the following qualifications: • BSc degree in Physiotherapy • ATMMiF or equivalent) (D); or able to book place ASAP • Registration with appropriate governing body (HPC and CSP) • FA Safeguarding Children Certificate • Valid and accepted enhanced FA DBS CRC (Criminal Background Check) or be willing to undertake this check if successful You will have extensive experience of medical and performance provisions in an elite sporting environment. You will have line management experience and a good understanding of the EPPP.
