About the role:
We are excited to announce that we are currently expanding our team and looking for a Night Shift Manager to join us at our Big Blue location in Swindon as a permanent member of the team.
Reporting to the Operations Manager, as the Shift Manager, you will lead and develop your Shift Supervisors and Warehouse Operatives on the night shift. You will focus on increasing productivity, quality and team cohesion to maximise profitability and minimise environmental impact. As our Night Shift Manager, you'll play a critical role in ensuring our customers continue to receive high-quality service and that our sustainable laundry operations run smoothly.

Key responsibilities:
Safety:
You will be responsible for the site's compliance and Operatives' H&S during your shift and report all incidents promptly to the Operations Manager.
Leadership & Team Development:
You'll be taking the lead on onboarding and developing the Operatives and Supervisors on your shift through training and coaching. You will also ensure our People Policies are being followed and you will seek advice from the Operations Manager and the People team when necessary.
Inventory Management:
You will use your great organisational skills to monitor and maintain stock levels and report missing items and maintenance issues promptly. You'll be confident in developing rectification plans as well as following through with them.
Operations Management:
You'll be fully knowledgeable on our SOPs and you will coach your team to strive for the same, as you will be responsible for your team's execution and operational KPIs on a daily basis. You will escalate issues appropriately and you will lead on operational improvements.
Quality & Customer Experience:
You will be responsible for the quality standard of the items leaving the site after your team has processed them and you will liaise with the Customer Service team to solve customer enquiries. You'll enable a reliable flow of information by filling out relevant documentation regularly.
Key Relationships:
* Operations Manager: You will report to the Operations Manager, who is responsible for the site’s operations. They will support your execution, sponsor key projects and foster your development. They are accountable for all delivery in your wheelhouse.
* Customer Success/Account Management: You will work alongside the Customer Success team and Account Manager to manage customer complaints and escalations from an operations perspective and reduce churn and revenue loss.
* Projects & Operational Excellence team: you will work with or be consulted on key projects and initiatives to ensure continuous improvement and development to meet the site’s full operational processing capacity.

Key Qualities & Competencies
Technical Competency:
* Lean operation/manufacturing knowledge that enables you to drive continuous improvement and optimise processes within your shift.
* Working knowledge of H&S regulations and compliance standards.
* You either have knowledge already or you are excited to learn quickly about laundry and textile best practices so that you can understand all processes within Oxwash.
Technology, automation & IT literacy:
* You are confident using and learning about new systems, as well as finding the most efficient ways to use them.
* You are able to monitor and analyse data that identify the root causes of issues.
* You will be able to demonstrate the balance between existing skills whilst simultaneously exploring new opportunities to improve your operation, fostering full buy-in from the shift.
Leadership & collaboration:
* You will use influencing and collaboration skills to build and cultivate effective professional working relationships with your team, other shifts and senior managers. Your communication skills - verbal and written - will also be of high standard.
* You will have experience in leadership and stakeholder management from your previous roles that you can bring to Oxwash and will enable you to hit the ground running.

Paid trial shift on-site, including an interview with the Head of Operations (2-3 hours).
Final interview with senior members of the Operations team (45 minutes)
