The Growth Company (GC) Education and Skills team are looking for a Canteen Manager who will be based and provide catering services at The Trafford Skill Centre.

Key Responsibilities:
* Provide buffet and bistro catering services in line with the catering business plan.
* Create quality meals and snacks which meet customers’ expectations.
* Cost the menu to achieve forecasted gross profit.
* Provide excellent customer service which exceeds customer expectations.
* Order and manage stock which ensures the full menu can be always catered for.
* Enforce impeccable hygiene standards which exceed legislative requirements.
* Control stocks and cash effectively to minimise waste/losses.
* Manage the Chef and Catering assistants effectively.
About You:
* A good understanding of customer expectations and ability to design a service around them.
* A positive and flexible approach to role and hours.
* Ability to understand, demonstrate and apply GC values: Make a positive difference, stronger together, empower people, do the right thing, build on success.
Skills Required:
* Excellent food preparation skills.
* Basic Food and Hygiene certificate.
* Enhanced catering chef qualifications.
* Excellent understanding of food hygiene standards.
* Able to cost and price food to meet required profit margins.
* Ability to communicate effectively with all customers and stakeholders.
* Cash handling and leadership skills.
