Site: The Harley Street Clinic (27-29 Harley Street & Devonshire Outpatient Centre), London
Hours: Full time, 37.5 hours per week
Shift times: Service is open 08:00-20:00. We can offer 4 or 5 day working patterns.
Contract Type: Permanent
Salary: Up to £30,000.00 per annum dependent upon experience and skills (with excellent benefits)
We’re looking for a Radiology Department Assistant to join our Imaging department at The Harley Street Clinic, currently rated “Outstanding” by the CQC.
As a Healthcare Assistant at The Harley Street Clinic’s Outpatient Centres, you’ll provide a high level of customer-focussed care to our patients and service users through high quality support to our Radiographers & Consultants.
Duties & Responsibilities:
* Organize Ultrasound workload including charging patients, chaperoning patients when required and dealing with all necessary paperwork.
* Assist the radiographers in preparing patients for all imaging procedures as necessary.
* Assist with moving patients within the department as necessary.
* Assist with setting up for procedures as required.
* Maintain the tidiness and cleanliness of the department.
* Help with the maintenance of stock levels in all rooms (e.g., linen and consumables).
* Collect and escort in-patients to and from the department.
* Organize refreshments for patients when required.
* Assist the Radiographers and other staff in the department as required.
* Rotate between departments/areas/modalities as required.
* Respond appropriately to accidents or untoward incidents/occurrences that arise within the unit and provide accurate documentation.
* Be conversant with all local policies and procedures and act accordingly.
* Ensure the safety of patients and staff and ensure that all incidents are reported to the Manager.
* Ensure that all equipment is used safely and effectively. Experience of working with members of the public is essential.
What you’ll bring:
* Ability to work independently and within a team.
* Exceptional communication and organization skills.
* Ability to be flexible with working patterns.
* Competent IT user.
* Hospital-based experience as a Healthcare Assistant/Radiology Assistant is essential.
* Radiology experience desirable.
* NVQ Level 3 desirable.
