Job Description:
NHS Greater Glasgow and Clyde is one of the largest healthcare systems in the UK employing around 40,000 staff in a wide range of clinical and non-clinical professions and job roles. We deliver acute hospital, primary, community and mental health care services to a population of over 1.15 million and a wider population of 2.2 million when our regional and national services are included.
This is a permanent, part-time post of 20 hours per week, with a shift pattern of Monday to Friday. Please note the salary is Pro Rata for part time hours.
An exciting opportunity has arisen for an individual to become a member of the Community Pharmacy Development Team and provide admin support to the 281 community pharmacies in GGC’s network. The CPDT is responsible for the development, support and management of pharmaceutical services provided by independent NHS contractors.
The successful candidate should have a good understanding of administration and clerical tasks and have worked in an environment where they have had the opportunity to develop their IT skills, manage calendars and have good knowledge of standard software programmes. Good inter-personal, organisational and communication skills are essential, and individuals should be motivated, flexible, and adaptable. As a service, we will support and encourage you to develop your administration skills. In return we will help develop your administration, secretarial and clerical skills.
This post holder will complete administrative tasks that will support the work of the Team, including the processing of payments, acting as first point of contact for queries coming in to the team, manning and monitoring the Team’s generic mailbox and running service delivery reports. The post holder will also process the initial stage of all patient referrals in line with the Service Specification for each service area associated with the supply of acute drugs through the community pharmacy network e.g. Hep C, HIV and Oncology.
