Job Description:
* Production of detailed functional design specifications for gas turbine control systems.
* Development of control system hardware for turbine control applications.
* Specifying electrical hardware components for control systems.
* Production of wiring diagrams and general arrangement drawings.
* Liaising with customers and sub-contractors.
* Production of test specifications.
* Production procurement specifications.
* Production of test procedures and specifications.
* Factory and works test.
* Design & implementation of fire & gas protection systems.
Person Specification:
Essential Skills Required
* Production of detailed functional design specifications for gas turbine control systems.
* Good working knowledge of PLC based control and HMI systems (Rockwell and Siemens S7).
* TUV / SUD Functional Safety qualification or equivalent.
* Power generation industry knowledge.
* Formal qualifications in Electrical and/or Mechanical Engineering.
* Good levels of practical experience of this type of work are essential.
* Very good customer relation skills required.
* Prioritising workloads to deadlines.
* Ability to extract information from specifications.
* Be able to work under own initiative, and as part of, or leading a team on site.
* Must hold a current, clean driving license.
* Full passport.
Advantageous Requirements
* Experience of HV or generator protection systems.
* Knowledge of AutoCAD electrical.
* Good knowledge of gas turbines, rotating machinery and hydraulic systems.
* CCNSG Passport to Safety.
* Offshore Vantage Card.
