We are currently looking for a Project Manager to join our fantastic team based out of the Tarmac Whitwood Office in Castleford, near Leeds. As well as Leeds this site is accessible from Wakefield, Pontefract, Rothwell, Dewsbury, Garforth and the surrounding areas.

Role Responsibility
Reporting to the Operations Manager, as the Project Manager, you will oversee and manage the effective allocation of resources and be responsible for the effective management and delivery of more than one project at a time and will include our long-term contract with Amey on the Sheffield PFI. Providing leadership, guidance, and direction to the Operations teams to ensure that all stated objectives, aims, and targets are achieved, including all financial returns & full compliance with safety and business policies and procedures, ensures the effective allocation of operational resources and drives best practice and continuous improvements
The role of Project Manager will also:
1. Manage improve and comply with all HSQE requirements
2. Lead and ensure delivery of assigned projects
3. Drive the effective management of any exposure to both financial and contractual risk, maximising financial return on all contracts and ensuring prompt cash collection within contract provisions.
4. Develop & maintain key customer relationships.
5. To drive performance improvements and share best practice across the business.
6. Effective management, coaching and development of all direct reports and drive full employee engagement.

The Ideal Candidate
The ideal candidate for the role of Project Manager will be able to demonstrate proven project management experience gained ideally within the Contracting industry and Highways Maintenance. You will also be qualified by experience relating to industry standards and/or possess good Higher Education Achievement (HND/HNC Level) or Degree.
