THE OPPORTUNITY
As a Weapon Systems Support Engineer, you will be supporting the development and delivery of cutting-edge weapon systems by managing technical requirements, ensuring compliance, and delivering solutions that meet customer needs. Collaborate with national and international design authorities to ensure system performance and reliability.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:
1. Report on technical status and progression of work packages.
2. Define and own equipment requirements, including roadmaps, fitness-for-purpose, and obsolescence plans.
3. Develop solutions addressing mechanical, functional, power, communication, and interface constraints.
4. Ensure compliance with commercial, military, and safety standards.
5. Deliver verification and validation strategies for certification and trials.
6. Facilitate technical exchanges with internal and external stakeholders.
SKILLS:
1. Strong stakeholder engagement and communication skills.
2. Proficiency in requirements and certification engineering.
3. Broad engineering knowledge with potential specialisations (e.g., electrical, mechanical, computing).
4. Familiarity with the engineering lifecycle, risk management, and obsolescence planning.
