We have a 34-bed care home providing specialist support for Deaf residents, offering a supportive and inclusive environment. Purpose of the job: Under the direction of the Catering Manager, assist in the provision of a high-quality catering service that meets the needs of service users, staff, and visitors and to assist with day-to-day operations within the department. To ensure the standards of hygiene and cleanliness of the restaurant / kitchen areas are maintained to meet legal requirements. Main key responsibilities are: Assist in preparation and serving of food for residents, staff, and visitors. Prepare dining area for service. Operating dishwasher and cleaning equipment. To serve service users, staff, and visitors to Deafway in the appropriate manner, promoting a friendly and welcoming atmosphere, including cash sales. To ensure regulations pertaining to the safe and hygienic operation of the kitchen are adhered to by all members of staff and visitors. To assist in the security of stores. To accept deliveries and complete associated paperwork. To ensure kitchen and restaurant cleaning schedules are adhered to and assist in the completion of these tasks. To assist in the end of shift locking up procedures ensuring security of buildings. To ensure professional conduct observing the Deafway Code of Conduct.
