The Division:
The Integrated Components and Solutions team in the UK focuses on electronic control system integration within Caterpillar products, enhancing performance and value through advanced electronics and electrical technology.
Our systems manage engine air and fuel delivery, power delivery, aftertreatment systems, battery management, and machine operation controls, enabling automation, productivity, and serviceability.
Job Role and Responsibilities:
You will develop electro-mechanical control systems using quantitative methods. Responsibilities include:
* Gathering customer requirements and developing specifications
* Designing electrical system architectures
* Defining control algorithms and software development
* Verification testing using simulation, SIL, HIL, and real machines
* Troubleshooting electronics/control issues
* Investigating performance issues and implementing solutions
* Participating in FMEA, safety, and compliance reviews
Basic Qualifications:
A strong technical background, preferably with a degree in mechanical, electronic, electrical, control systems, or automotive engineering, or equivalent experience.
Additional preferred experience:
Experience with off-highway machinery, engine, EV control systems, or comparable automotive/military/marine systems.
