The Safeguarding Unit has an exciting opportunity to deliver a Quality Assurance Framework and Practice Framework that trains and develops CYPE staff whilst understanding and influencing KCC’s journey to continue to be Outstanding. We have an opportunity in our team for a Practice Development Officer to work across Practice Development Teams with a focus on adolescents including unaccompanied asylum-seeking children and those supported by Youth Justice Services. You will be educated to degree level or equivalent professional qualification in Social Care, Health, Youth Work or Teaching and/or extensive experience. You will have a strong safeguarding knowledge and be passionate about theories and improving practice across CYPE in Kent. The successful candidate will:
* Lead and model and promote high quality frontline practice.
* Facilitate the implementation of the Children’s Home and Supported Accommodation Quality Assurance Framework to monitor and evaluate statutory requirements.
* Drive the development of effective practice with adolescents and their families in response to extra familial harm.
* Guide frontline managers and practitioners to support the implementation of KCC’s practice framework.
* Deliver training to frontline practitioners to drive outstanding practice and new initiatives.
* Facilitate and undertake ongoing audits and research of integrated practice.
