CPC ADMINISTRATOR, NORFOLK COUNTY POLICING COMMAND (CPC)
BETHEL STREET POLICE STATION
This post will be based at the busy Bethel Street Police Station, supporting the CPC colleagues including the Superintendent, Chief Inspector and all other ranks. Duties will include organising meetings, coordinating diaries and liaising with other departments and external agencies. You will conduct research and produce management information, maintain accurate systems and prepare general correspondence. You will be a central point of contact for the station/district for matters concerning estates, facilities and health and safety. You will be responsible for cash management and goods ordering. These duties must be carried out to a high level of accuracy and attention to detail. You will be based at Bethel Street Police Station, with the ability to travel to other Norwich stations when required. The CPC Administrator role is one which works on flexi time as per policy and pro rata allowances.
It is essential that applicants meet the following criteria:
1. Good numeracy and literacy skills
2. Good keyboard skills with a working knowledge of Microsoft Office
3. Previous experience in a general administration or secretarial role
4. Demonstrate excellent communication and interpersonal skills with the ability to liaise effectively at all levels within the Constabulary
5. Demonstrate good organisational skills to manage own workload and meet deadlines
6. Ability to find appropriate solutions to problems using own initiative and as part of a team
7. Ability to travel as required and attend remote locations across Norfolk
8. Proven ability to accurately compose documents and presentation material
It is desirable that applicants meet the following criteria:
1. Previous experience of maintaining financial records of income and expenditure
2. Basic knowledge of Health and Safety legislation
3. Previous project experience
Hours of work are normal office hours on the standard police staff contract (Monday to Friday 08:00 to 16:00 with 36 minute rest break and on the flexi-time scheme). This post is offered on a permanent basis.
