The Best Connection are currently seeking an experienced Transport Administrator to join our new client based in Huthwaite, Sutton in Ashfield!!
Roles and Responsibilities:
* Provide administrative support to the transport team, including managing emails, phone calls, and correspondence.
* Prepare and maintain transport-related documentation, such as delivery schedules, transport manifests, and route plans.
* Ensure that all relevant paperwork is completed accurately and filed in compliance with company procedures and legal requirements.
* Raising and processing invoices for work conducted.
* Provide support to customers by answering transport-related queries, tracking shipments, and resolving any issues related to delivery or transport.
* Maintain accurate records of transport activities, including mileage, fuel usage, and delivery times.
* Prepare regular reports for management, including operational performance, cost analysis, and fleet utilisation.
* Monitor KPIs related to transport performance and assist in identifying areas for improvement.
Requirements:
* Previous experience in an administrative or operational role within a logistics, transport, or supply chain environment is preferred.
* Strong organisational skills with the ability to manage multiple tasks and priorities effectively.
* Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal, with the ability to work collaboratively with internal teams and external stakeholders.
* Proficient in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Outlook) and experience with transport management or scheduling software is a plus.
* High level of attention to detail, accuracy, and problem-solving ability. Strong customer service skills and a proactive approach to resolving issues.
* Availability to work rota-ed weekends and varying shift patterns (beneficial)
Pay rate & working hours:
* £12.21 - £13.00
* Static shift: 10:00-18:00
* Even more beneficial are you able to be flexible over two shifts, earlies and lates. Pay rate negotiable.
Please be aware you will need to attend an in branch interview at our Mansfield branch before you are introduced to the client for interview!!
