Job Description:
Oncology Clinical Operations Asset Lead, Director
Office-based attendance required 2-3 days/week.
The Clinical Operations Asset Lead represents all Clinical Operations functions on the Medicine Development Team and is accountable for developing the operational strategy and delivery plan to execute the scientific strategy for an asset and associated studies, working in partnership with clinical / biostats / clinical supplies and the functional subject matter experts to ensure informed asset decision-making from the operational, scientific and data perspectives.
Key Responsibilities:
* Contribute to the development of the Clinical Development Plan and Integrated Evidence Plan.
* Oversee delivery and data quality of all studies for the asset.
* Delivery of operational plan for the asset which includes:
o Generation of delivery scenarios to support governance board decisions.
o Accountability for study level planning, feasibility and conduct.
o Leadership of innovative approaches to study execution.
o Accountability for study budgets.
o Oversight of delivery quality.
* Lead resourcing discussions and be accountable for the final strategy (in-house vs outsourcing) for the asset and studies, in accordance with the resourcing strategy & principles.
* Contribute to asset level risk register, lead asset level mitigation plans for relevant delivery or quality issues, and oversight of study level risks.

* Demonstrates conceptual, analytical and strategic thinking to innovative approaches to clinical delivery, leverage external technology and networks and build internal capability.
* Ability to translate strategic concepts, scientific requirements, stakeholder feedback and expectations into cohesive actions for the Asset team.
* Innovative and change adept whilst identifying and embracing risks as opportunities.
* Ability to establish and build internal and external relationships at all levels in a highly dynamic and matrixed environment, demonstrating conflict management and negotiation skills.
* Strong influencing and stakeholder management skills at all levels of the organization.
* Strong communication skills appropriate to the target audience, promoting effective decision-making.
Basic Qualifications:
* Bachelor’s degree in general science or Life/Health related Science Degree.
* Director level experience managing clinical research projects.
* Oncology clinical operations matrix leadership experience in a global role.
* Above study (project level) leadership experience.
* Experience working independently with senior stakeholders.
Preferred Qualifications:
* Experience delivering registrational oncology studies from start to finish.
