The Day Nursery team are looking for Nursery staff to join the committed team at the Amersham and Wycombe Hospital Day Nurseries. Our nurseries cater primarily for children of NHS employees and are situated on the hospital sites. The children are aged from 3 months to 4 years +, leaving us when they join school. The nurseries have designated play rooms for the differing ages and stages of development and the staff have a range of qualifications and experience.
Main duties of the job
Amersham & Wycombe Hospital Day Nurseries
All aspects of child care & education:
general daily care routines, e.g. feeding, drinks, toileting, dressing etc.
play, story telling, singing & music session, craft & creativity
record keeping, liaising with parents
working well within the team, supporting students, furthering own development and knowledge
helping to keep nursery safe, clean and tidy
Hours are full time (37.5hrs) worked on a shift rota between the opening hours of 7.15 am - 6 pm, however opportunities for reduced hours may be considered for the right candidate.
You will be a qualified Nursery Nurse, with a level 3 certificate in Childcare & Education preferred but we would consider candidates with level 2 and relevant experience.

EDUCATION, QUALIFICATIONS & TRAINING
Essential criteria
1. NNEB/BTEC Nursery Nursing/Diploma Nursery Nursing/NVQ 3 Childcare & Education or other relevant level 3
2. Up to date: Child Protection First Aid Food Safety Inclusion training/awareness
3. Evidence of continued professional development
EXPERIENCE
Essential criteria
4. Previous employed role within childcare desirable e.g. nanny, day nursery or pre-school
5. Experienced with all age ranges under 5
6. Working experience of the children’s learning journey
SKILLS, ABILITIES & KNOWLEDGE
Essential criteria
7. Knowledge of the EYFS and Ofsted Statutory requirements
8. Knowledge of child development
9. Computer Literate
10. Good initiative, common sense and ability to put the children’s needs first.
11. Able to work independently, within a team, in partnership with parents and other professional
