Position Statement
The primary purpose of this position is to work alongside the Commercial Director Focused Service, EMEA to maximize total revenue across managed hotels in the Focused Service EMEA region and contribute to a successful Fair Market Share performance. The position holder will work alongside the Commercial Teams for Focused Service EMEA from a commercial, coordination, strategy implementation, and reporting perspective, alongside Sales, Marketing, eCommerce, Revenue Management (RMCC), and Operations counterparts to complete the team that supports and leads these hotels. Additionally, the role will ensure that across these functions, a coordinated approach is taken to commercial planning and execution through the Commercial Focus structure.
The role will act on behalf of the Commercial Directors of the region in property visits, corporate & ownership meetings, budget & forecast reviews, and training seminars as needed and will be an integral part of the Revenue Management Team.
More specifically, the main objectives of the role are to work alongside the Commercial Director to:
1. Develop and implement Revenue Management Best Practices in Forecasting, Yield Management, Pricing, Channel/Distribution, Conference and Banqueting, and Front Office to drive Profitability and Yield Premium results.
2. Ensure that Revenue Management is aligned effectively with Sales, Marketing, eCommerce, Distribution, and Operation teams to drive Profitability and Yield Premium across Focused Service EMEA hotels.
3. Actively contribute to the training, development, retention, and recruitment of effective Hotel Commercial/Sales team members.
4. Take a hands-on approach in working with Hotel Commercial teams to provide regional support.
5. Actively contribute to the management, motivation, and development of on-property Teams in all Hotels across the Region.
6. Initiate and contribute to strategic projects relevant to the success of the commercial performance for the region.
7. Independently identify hotel support needs and lead the implementation of strategic commercial tools.
8. Lead communication with Hotel Commercial teams and ensure relevant content is provided as hotel support.
9. Support/co-ordinate key reporting/administration for the Commercial Director.
10. Ensure consistent delivery of high-quality brand standards and best practice in all applicable Hotels.
Reporting Production and Delivery
1. Deliver accurate, timely, value-add reporting to Senior Commercial Leadership with high-level performance statistics, accurate analysis, new developments, and future planning.
2. Coordinate/support with other reporting/analytic organizations within Hilton Worldwide to ensure Commercial Services is communicating figures and storylines that are consistent with all other sources including but not limited to DNA Team, GCE Revenue/Sales teams both Regionally and Globally.
Key Performance Indicators
1. Support achieving or exceeding total achieved revenue versus budget for Focused Service, EMEA, achieve or exceed total profit achieved versus budget, and achieve or exceed Yield Premium Targets. Deliver accurate forecasts with a robust Risk and Opportunities document across the Region.
2. Support Commercial Director to achieve or exceed Balanced Scorecard targets across the Region.
3. Support Commercial Director in succession planning and promotion within Commercial Teams in Focused Service Hotels, EMEA.
4. Support the implementation of Commercial Focus Planning and Execution framework.
5. Support New Openings and the Commercial Road Map process, alongside the Corporate and Hotel Commercial teams within the Region.
6. Complete Key Reporting/Administration for the Region as well as key Forecasting/Budget/Commercial Focus activities.
Analytics
Determine if existing Commercial initiatives are effective and recommend enhancements to Senior Commercial Leadership to drive the commercial and market performance. Manage R&O process across the Region for O&M portfolio. Understand trends, drive efficiencies, and provide proactive hotel support.
Supportive Functions
1. Deputize for both Commercial Directors as required.
2. Provide direct support to VP, Commercial Director Europe, and the Area VP Operations as needed.
3. Provide training to other hotel team members on revenue management procedures, standards, and principles, as needed. Eg. Shine program.
4. Ensure that all revenue management-related programs and systems are maintained, including RMS, FMS, CRS, Delphi/DMPE, OnQ.
5. Enlist the assistance of hotel and corporate team members as needed.
6. Contribute to the development of the departmental budget, marketing, and business plans.
Applicants will ideally have a proven background in a hotel operations leadership role such as Director of Front Office, Revenue Manager/DRM, or Director of Sales or may come from a relevant corporate role including revenue management, commercial/sales. Additional required skills and experience include:

8. Strong experience or adaptable training in the use of automated systems, personal computers, and software programs.
9. A passion for the hotel industry and people as well as an eye for detail.
