We are working with a market-leading manufacturing organisation who are looking to recruit an experienced Manufacturing Manager into their team. This is a company who have experienced some amazing growth and have really developed their organisational culture and ethos over the recent years.
As the Manufacturing Manager you will be responsible for maximising growth and profitability within the business by driving key areas such as quality, safety, productivity and customer satisfaction.
This role will require a high level of people management and leadership skills to develop and build a strong team within the department. You will be working to hit on time delivery targets, ensure performance targets are maintained, and work to continuously improve processes and actively problem solve.
The Manufacturing Manager will be responsible for:
* Provide strong people and team management skills with an aim to develop, motivate, and mentor staff
* Ensure SQCD targets are met and work to implement improvement to increase performance
* Drive on time delivery targets to meet production plans
* Work to continuously improve processes and methods using 5s and similar methodologies
* Liaise with internal departments on targets, site issues, and relevant projects
Skills and Experience
* Relevant qualifications in mechanical engineering, manufacturing, or similar
* Experience within a manufacturing/ production engineering environment
* Previous experience leading and managing teams
* Knowledge of SME practices and culture
* Results and process driven mindset
* Problem solving and attention to detail
* Computer literate on programs such as MS Word, Excel and PowerPoint
* This role would suit someone who has previously worked as a Manufacturing Manager / Manufacturing Supervisor / Manufacturing Lead
