Prepworld is looking for a Packaging Team Leader on the day shift covering all Packaging operator duties, assisting the Supervisor with the organisation of the team and supporting all day-to-day requests.
Responsibilities:
* Ensure all packaging areas are tidy, organised, and no unauthorised staff enter the packaging stores or yard areas.
* Lead by example to effectively motivate the team ensuring targets are achieved.
* Support with customer tray stock counts when required.
* Support with pallet stock counts when required.
* Have knowledge of all packaging SKUs.
* Read and understand email requests and action accordingly.
* Move pallets/stock around the warehouse/yard in a safe and controlled manner.
* Unload delivery vehicles that arrive on site safely, following all intake processes.
* Drive and handle all MHE equipment respectfully, ensuring all start-up documents are filled in correctly.
* Pick and supply packaging in advance according to the daily packaging plans and supply to the airlock room in preparation for production.
* Top up the print room with labels daily following the Kan Ban system in place.
* Work and oversee operatives in the airlock room and issue packaging to the production high care when requested, following traceability and barrier control procedures.
* Ensure the warehouse is clean, tidy, and organised at all times.
* Provide accurate packaging stock counts of all packaging SKUs.
* Notify of any delivery discrepancies to the Shift Supervisor and/or purchasing team.
* Take ownership of delivery notes and ensure these are signed and passed onto the area Supervisor.
* Organise stock in the stores logically and ensure all internal codes have been applied correctly with the correct information.
* Understand how to read the packaging plans/Bill of material to identify correct stocks needed for production.
* Understand the differences between and be responsible for the current, new, and redundant stocks and why segregation of these is important.
* Oversee, check, and accurately update stock inventory lists.
* Oversee all intake procedures including stock Putaway.
* Track deliveries against delivery schedules, confirming deliveries that have come in and highlighting those that haven't.
* Understand technical requirements.
* In the absence of the Shift Supervisor, effectively liaise with Customer equipment and purchasing teams regarding delivery discrepancies.
* Understand and complete the On Hold Procedure for compromised stock.
* In the absence of the Shift Supervisor, communicate correct redundant stock information to the purchasing team.
* In the absence of the Shift Supervisor, cover/action some employee relations matters including return to works.

Pay:
Starting at £13.90 per hour, rising through to £14.30 per hour and then £14.60 per hour after full training and development.
