As the Finance Manager for Financial Planning & Analysis (FP&A), you will play a key role in driving financial performance across the business. Your focus will be on delivering insightful commercial analysis, managing contribution forecasting processes, and providing insight for strategic decision-making. You will work with various departments to provide commercial support, assist in pricing strategies, and help ensure the business meets its financial objectives.
What you’ll be doing:
1. Extracting data from various business systems and sources to analyse in Excel, Power-BI and/or other FP&A software, including sensitivity and scenario analysis, stress testing and reverse stress testing
2. Ensuring the accuracy and consistency of financial data and reports provided to the Executive Leadership Teams by compiling templates and reconciling information from multiple sources
3. Managing the weekly flash forecasting process to provide accurate and timely projected contribution and profit information to the Executive Leadership Team
4. Developing and maintaining dashboards and data visualisations to illustrate monthly KPIs and performance as agreed with the CFO
5. Managing deep-dive analyses into client projects, including income and contribution management
6. Overseeing contribution reconciliation and producing monthly contribution management reports
7. Providing commercial support to Client Services, including pricing and bid processes (with CFO/MD sign-off)
8. Managing the data capture process and reporting on key operational metrics such as time utilisation and recoverability
9. Assisting in the preparation of business cases and investment proposals as directed by the CFO
10. Supporting the preparation of board packs and other management reporting materials
11. Collaborating with the financial control team to ensure accurate and timely reporting, and participating in month-end close activities when required to meet deadlines
12. Collaborating with cross-functional teams to provide financial insights and drive profitability analysis across clients, brands, and service lines
13. Support ad-hoc analysis and reporting requests as needed
What you’ll bring to the role:
1. Proven knowledge and experience of financial planning and analysis, including interpreting financial results, trends, financial KPIs and ratios; forecasting; and analysis, ideally within a commercial or client-focused environment
2. Proficiency in FP&A software for modeling and analysis with the ability to develop and utilise advanced Excel functions and Power-BI to create detailed reports
3. Strong financial modeling skills and the ability to interpret complex financial data into actionable insights
4. Excellent communication and collaboration skills, with the ability to influence decision-making at all levels
5. A ‘can do’ attitude with ability to work under pressure to meet tight deadlines
6. A strategic mindset with a focus on driving business growth and profitability
7. High attention to detail, organisational skills, and ability to manage multiple priorities
