At Zenith, we’re looking for a Credit Risk Manager for a 12-month fixed-term position to join our fast-paced and agile Credit Risk Team. This role offers the opportunity to lead a critical function within the UK's largest independent vehicle solutions provider.
Zenith is at the forefront of the transition to sustainable vehicle solutions and plays a key role in shaping the future of leasing. With ambitious growth plans and a £25 million, four-year transformation programme underway, there’s never been a better time to join us.
WHATS THE ROLE?
Our Credit Risk Team manages a diverse portfolio of well-known brands across multiple industries. We are currently in an exciting phase of development, and we are looking for someone who can implement best practices and help shape our credit risk processes.

Additionally, your broader understanding of credit risk will support the development of our credit risk policy, define our risk appetite, and establish structured credit risk processes.
You will lead the Group’s monthly Credit Risk Review Committee, oversee customer credit assessments, and make critical decisions to mitigate risk while supporting business growth. You will lead and manage the team effectively, and work strategically with senior stakeholders, including the CFO and executive board, to align our credit risk strategies with overall business objectives.
Your responsibilities will include:
* Overseeing credit reviews for Corporate, Commercial, Corporate Rental, and Fleet Managed customers to balance growth with risk mitigation.
* Leading the preparation and maintenance of the Credit Committee pack.
* Implementing and maintaining credit standards, ensuring adherence across the Group to uphold credit quality.
* Driving the credit risk element of new system developments to improve processes, automation, and reporting.
* Collaborating with teams across Corporate, Commercial, and Rental businesses to ensure credit quality, escalating issues to the board where necessary.
* Engaging with executive board members, Legal and Compliance, Funding and Strategy, and other key stakeholders on credit matters.
* Coaching and developing a team of qualified accountants and credit risk analysts to deliver exceptional performance.
* Representing Credit Risk with external customers, including at board level, to support complex or borderline credit decisions.
* Monitoring the customer portfolio for early signs of financial distress and driving appropriate responses.
* Leading in-depth financial analysis to support complex credit decisions and assessing the macroeconomic environment’s impact on customers and sectors.
* Overseeing the Credit Risk Committee management information report, including sector and customer analysis.
* Leading the Credit Risk element of the Group’s banking audits.
