One will be for non-malignant haematology services.
The two new posts will work alongside the established Clinical Haematology team, comprising five Consultant Haematologists and four Clinical Nurse Specialists within a District General Hospital. The team has strong links with the tertiary centre in Leeds, enabling the best treatment and care for our patients.

They will be required to deliver independent assessment, clinical examination, clinical decision making, and planning of care and treatment, including independent prescribing.
The post holders will provide inpatient advice and support to medical teams and ward staff for patients with haematological conditions and develop strong professional relationships to ensure safe, good quality care for patients.
The post holders will work closely with all members of the multidisciplinary team and will play an integral role in the operational and strategic development of the haematology service. They will provide professional leadership for the Clinical Nurse Specialist team.
The post holders will provide a range of education and learning strategies to meet the needs of healthcare professionals providing care and treatment for patients with haematological malignancies across the organization.
