About:
As a key member of the commercial team, the National Account Manager drives strategic goals by developing and securing sales volumes and achieving margin targets within B2B Manufacturers and QSR accounts. This role is responsible for the commercial performance of a designated account portfolio, continuous improvement, and driving profitability.
Responsibilities:
* Key Account Management: Build and maintain strong relationships with key accounts, understand their needs and objectives, and develop tailored solutions to maximize sales and profitability.
* Negotiation and Contract Management: Lead negotiations with key accounts to secure favourable terms, pricing, and promotional opportunities, ensuring compliance with company policies and contracts.
* Cross-Functional Collaboration: Collaborate with internal teams (product development, marketing, supply chain) to align strategies and execution plans, driving initiatives that support market expansion and customer satisfaction. Coach and support R&D account leads to achieve identified goals.
* Sales Forecasting and Performance Analysis: Develop accurate sales forecasts, monitor performance against targets (with P&L responsibility), and proactively identify areas for improvement to achieve sales objectives. Produce sales, pricing, and Board reports for identified accounts.
* Market Intelligence: Stay informed about market trends, competitor activities, and factors influencing market conditions (e.g., wheat and grain markets).
Qualifications:
* Proven success in sales and account management within the food industry, preferably poultry or food coatings.
* Strong negotiation and influencing skills, with the ability to build and maintain relationships at all organizational levels.
* Analytical mindset with proficiency in data analysis and interpretation for strategic decision-making.
* Excellent communication and presentation skills, with the ability to articulate complex ideas clearly and persuasively.
* Results-oriented with a demonstrated ability to exceed sales targets and drive business growth.
* Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced environment.
Prerequisites:
* 3-5 years of sales account management experience in the food industry.
* Strong commercial understanding.
* Experience in negotiation and results-oriented approach.
* Ability to work effectively in a cross-functional team, involving internal and external stakeholders.
* Ability to prioritize and manage multiple projects.
* Energetic and driven to deliver positive change.
* Frequent travel to Headquarters and other entities.
* Attendance at customer trials, reviews, meetings, and presentations.
* Travel expectation: Up to 60%, with 1 day per week in the office.
