We're more than just a company; we're pioneers, driving innovation and pushing the boundaries in our industry Due to continuous growth, we are now recruiting for an Engineering Planner to join the team at our Burton site, reporting to the Site Engineering Manager. So what's the mission? The purpose of the role will be to provide a safe, cost effective and proactive maintenance engineering planning service that facilitates excellent execution of maintenance activities to factory assets and equipment. The role will also ensure engineering spares and inventory is catalogued and available to support asset reliability. How you can help us: Work with the Engineering Manager to deliver all elements within the Engineering Plan. Ensure all assets are maintained to minimum legal standard and meet insurance requirements, (lifting equipment, pressure systems and LEV). Implement an effective Engineering Planning System that maximises utilisation of resources. Produce a weekly engineering schedule to ensure maintenance is executed to the highest of standards and delivers asset reliability. Spends time on the plant to ensure engineering work is planned and estimated within cost and delivers value for money maintenance. Co-ordinate modular overhaul activities and produce agreed plans. Schedule a balanced PM system to deliver agreed engineering KPI’s. Measure and publish engineering KPI’s weekly, including regular reporting Implement the groups chosen computerised maintenance management system. Develop asset block diagrams that support the effective use of the CMMS and PPM schedules. Develop a unit structure to support spares management, track asset costs & equipment reliability. Manage, track and report engineering spend, Match invoices, delivery notes Support Site Engineering Team to resolve day to day engineering issues across the site. Support the delivery and cascade of site objectives to engineering team. Ensure engineering spares and inventory are catalogued and available to support asset reliability. Implement an effective engineering stores management system to ensure critical spares are always available. Manage engineering contractors and their activities whilst on site through effective use of Contractor Control Procedure. Participate in training and development of self and engineering team. Build and maintain effective relationships with all site contacts from operators, engineers, site management, suppliers etc. Support Continuous Improvement plans / activities. What we would like you to bring to our team: Electrical and/or mechanical qualifications / time served apprenticeship Experience of operating in a medium/large automated manufacturing operation with relevant safety systems, quality standards, housekeeping standards etc. Experience of leading a team of engineers, managing workloads, prioritising activities and reviewing work is desirable. Experience of computerised maintenance management systems (CMMS) Experience of spares management systems would be an advantage Experience of working with PLCs, servo drives, pneumatics, hydraulics, welding Some experience of continuous improvement/lean manufacturing techniques e.g. DMAIC, would be an advantage.
