Trainee Service Engineer / Field Service Technician / Mutliskilled Engineer required to join a global leading engineering manufacturer. The Successful Trainee Service Engineer / Field Service Technician / Mutliskilled Engineer will provide electrical and mechanical repair, service, fault finding and maintenance on compressed air equipment including compressors, vacuum pumps, blowers & dryers, nitrogen generators and associated compressed air products at customer sites across Hampshire with occasional travel to Fareham, Portsmouth for training and parts collection. The Trainee Service Engineer / Field Service Technician / Mutliskilled Engineer will ideally have hands-on experience in electrical and/or mechanical engineering. Preference will be given to candidates with familiarity in electrical fault finding and systems troubleshooting or a mechanical / electrical qualification with a willingness to learn. Full product training provided. The Compressor Service Engineer will undertake planned and preventative maintenance, provide advice, diagnostics, fault finding of compressed air systems, nitrogen generators, vacuum pumps, blowers & dryers, nitrogen generators and other compressed air products. Installing compressed air/water & nitrogen pipelines into all forms of the manufacturing industry. Perform emergency breakdown fault finding and repairs on various compressed air equipment. Liaise with various engineering departments. Working at customer sites throughout Hampshire with occasional travel to Fareham, Portsmouth for training and parts collection. Trainee Service Engineer / Field Service Technician / Mutliskilled Engineer Requirements Proven diagnostic skills on complicated electrical / mechanical engineering systems. Experience as a Trainee Service Engineer, Apprentice Engineer, Apprentice Technician, Entry level Engineer, Electrical Engineer, Mechanical Engineer, Field Service Engineer or similar. Hands-on experience in electrical and/or mechanical domains with a willingness to learn. Strong understanding of three-phase electrics and controls, with hands-on experience preferred. Mechanical or electrical qualification, apprentice trained, NVQ level 3, city & guilds or similar would be a plus. Background in the compressed air industry or related electromechanical fields (e.g. compressors, filtration, pneumatics, hydraulics, pumps, valves, rotating equipment) would be advantageous. Flexibility to travel across Hampshire with occasional travel to Fareham, Portsmouth for training and parts collection
