We have an exciting opportunity for a Transport Planner to join us. This role is primarily responsible for planning and coordinating all driver-led activities. It also involves ensuring efficient management of routes, vehicles, and third-party activities in compliance with the Operator's License. Additionally, it entails assisting the transport team in achieving operational activities and administration through compliance with statutory requirements.

Responsibilities:
* Plan and optimise routes for maximum efficiency.
* Coordinate tasks for our dedicated drivers.
* Oversee fleet maintenance and administration.
* Manage our transport system to keep operations seamless.
* Approve transportation invoices and ensure compliance.
* Coordinate with third parties on fleet and vehicle systems.
* Assist our compliance officer in their duties.
* Keep track of drivers' training requirements and ensure compliance with regulations.
* Maintain daily inspections and check logs for driver and location information.
* Manage driver time and attendance to ensure a reliable and efficient workforce.
Person Specification / Previous Experience:
* Proven experience working as a Transport Planner or in a similar role
* Transport Manager CPC certification is highly valued.
* IOSH L3 Managing Safely certification is highly valued.
* OLAT certification is preferred.
* Proficient in transportation management systems and software
* Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills
* Strong communication and negotiation abilities
* Ability to multitask and work under pressure
* Detail-oriented and highly organised
* Ability to work collaboratively in a cross-functional team environment
* Excellent time management skills and ability to meet deadlines
