My client is a leading recycling and waste management company dedicated to sustainability and environmental responsibility. They are seeking a proactive Health and Safety Officer to ensure a safe working environment for all employees and ensure compliance with health and safety regulations.
Key Responsibilities
1. Develop, implement, and monitor health and safety policies and procedures.
2. Conduct risk assessments and site inspections to identify hazards.
3. Ensure compliance with health and safety legislation and industry standards.
4. Investigate accidents, incidents, and near misses, providing reports and recommendations.
5. Deliver health and safety training to employees.
6. Maintain records of safety inspections, audits, and compliance reports.
7. Liaise with regulatory bodies and conduct internal audits.
8. Promote a strong safety culture within the organization.
Requirements
✅ Qualifications: NEBOSH Certificate or equivalent in Occupational Health and Safety. WAMITAB Level 4.
✅ Experience: Previous experience in a similar role within the recycling, waste management, or industrial sector.
✅ Strong knowledge of health and safety laws and regulations.
✅ Excellent communication and leadership skills.
✅ Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
