Job summary This role as an Activities Assistant at Elysium Healthcare is focused on providing care and support to some of the most vulnerable people in society. You will be responsible for creating an activity-based culture, using your technical and creative skills to develop, deliver, and coordinate programs focused on social, recreational, and leisure activities. Your work will have a strong emphasis on individual needs and supporting the treatment plans of service users. Main duties of the job As an Activities Assistant, you will be coordinating social and recreational activities for service users within the secure environment, obtaining information from them about their interests, observing their behavior and abilities, and reporting back to the team. You will also be responsible for fulfilling security requirements, conducting basic risk assessments, and ensuring health, safety, welfare, and security standards are adhered to. Both units have extensive facilities catering for the specific needs of people aged over 18 years who have complex neurological care and rehabilitation requirements, and those who are abve 65 and living with complex dementia.
