SEN Support Worker
NextGen Teachers are proud to be recruiting on behalf of a School in Huddersfield who are looking for a SEN Support Worker to start as soon as possible on a part-time basis with the potential to go full-time. The successful candidate will have a passion for supporting children with additional needs such as Autism, help their social, emotional, and mental health, and have strong behaviour management. SEN Support Worker Roles and Responsibilities:
* Support the students with their learning and daily routines in both indoor and outdoor provisions.
* Support children with SEN and Autism.
* Create a positive and inclusive learning environment by managing behaviour, promoting respect, ensuring the safety of all students, and differentiating the delivery of the learning.
* Support the student with their social, emotional, and physical needs as well as help support them with their learning.
* Evaluate pupil progress through various assessments and provide constructive feedback to support their learning journey, both to the pupil, other staff, and have good clear and concise communication with parents/carers.
SEN Support Worker Non-Negotiables:
* Part-time as well as full-time availability and able to provide 2 professional references.
* Be comfortable with challenging behaviour and be able to navigate and manage children’s behaviours.
* Have recent and relevant experience working with children or those with additional needs.
* Have strong communication skills, both verbal and written.
* Hold patience, empathy, and the ability to build rapport with children.
