Safeguarding and Wellbeing Officer - (1 year Fixed term Maternity Cover)
College location: East Surrey College (Redhill)
Salary: Up to £29,731 (Subject to qualifications, skills and experience)
Hours: Full time (37 hours/week) 08:45-17:00 Monday – Friday
We are currently seeking to appoint an inspirational and enthusiastic Safeguarding and Wellbeing Officer to join our Safeguarding department.
In this exciting role, you will have responsibility to provide direct support to students who have made disclosures regarding safeguarding and well-being, promoting and developing the well-being opportunities for students and supporting the management of the relevant database systems.
Working closely with the DSL Team & ALS team and representatives from external bodies, you will be a part of the Student Support team to triage safeguarding and well-being referrals and hold a caseload of learners allocated through this process.
The successful candidate must have:
* Relevant experience and professional qualifications
* Knowledge of legislation, regulations and best practice
* Excellent communication skills with young people, vulnerable adults, colleagues, and stakeholders
* Background of at least 3 years’ experience in a related role
* Expert knowledge of KCSiE
