We have an exciting opportunity for a Highly Specialised Cardiac Physiologist to join our Team.
The Highly Specialised Cardiac Physiologist will be working in our Cardiac Rhythm Management Team across the NCA, providing specialised technical expertise in our complex Cardiac Rhythm Management device service (brady, tachy & CRT device implant and follow up).
Responsibilities:
1. Implementing and adhering to National and internationally recognised guidance for CRM devices.
2. Be a dynamic active member of the cardiac rhythm management team supporting the delivery of a high quality, safe and compassionate service working closely with patients, multi-disciplinary teams and consultants.
3. Support the training of junior staff and audit activity on a daily basis.
4. Independently acquiring and reporting results for a range of highly specialised procedures highlighting any urgencies or concerns to ensure appropriate escalation.
5. Greeting the patient, confirming identification, performing and producing factual reports to a high standard.
6. Support the training and development of colleagues including cardiac physiology students and various professionals.
7. Maintain accurate written records.
8. Responsible for the general cleaning of equipment, as per infection prevention policy.
9. Assist in implementing local strategies in line with targets and the requirements of the directorate.
10. Assist in monitoring and maintaining quality of service and participate in clinical audits.
11. Ensure that individual practice is up to date including mandatory and professional training.
12. Adhere to BHRS & Professional Guidelines along with local policies & procedures.
13. Supporting the on-call service for PCI and Cardiac rhythm management.
