GMAC is seeking a Filmmakers Programme Assistant to support the delivery of Little Pictures, our micro-budget film scheme that nurtures new talent in Scotland’s screen sector. This role is ideal for someone looking to develop their career in film and is passionate about supporting emerging filmmakers.
We’re looking for an organised, detail-oriented individual with some previous knowledge of the screen sector to help us deliver the Little Pictures scheme to a diverse range of participants.
Key Responsibilities:
1. Provide administrative support, including processing forms, booking venues, travel, and accommodation.
2. Assist with film production paperwork and ensure successful delivery of project deliverables.
3. Coordinate kit bookings and set up rooms/equipment for events and screenings.
4. Support social media and communications, including photography, videography, and content updates.
5. Handle data collection and entry for reports and evaluations.
6. Assist with finance tasks, such as processing invoices and expenses.
7. Build and maintain relationships with partners, funders, and filmmakers.
Who We’re Looking For:
1. Organised and detail-oriented with strong admin and multitasking skills.
2. Experience with Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint).
3. Knowledge of the Scottish screen sector and an interest in film.
4. Basic understanding of film equipment and production is desirable.
5. Strong communication skills and experience working with diverse communities.
6. Passion for diversity and inclusion in the film industry.
This is a fixed-term contract role for 5 months, with a 30 hour week working pattern.
The pay will be £23,000 pro rata.
