Processing weekly payrolls Handling HR tasks including documentation for starters and leavers Strong working knowledge of Excel and Word Payroll Supervisor & HR Officer We are supporting our client, a long-established and thriving manufacturing business based in BD14. Due to an upcoming retirement, they are now seeking a dedicated Payroll Supervisor & HR Officer to join their team. This is a varied role, with a primary focus on managing the payroll process, alongside supporting the management team with HR administrative tasks. The role offers flexibility, with the option to work full-time or reduced hours to suit the right candidate. To succeed in this position, you will have solid experience as a Payroll Officer, ideally combined with a sound understanding of HR processes. Experience in HR administration would be highly advantageous. There will also be opportunities to pursue HR qualifications to further develop your career. As Payroll Supervisor & HR Officer Duties and Responsibilities will include but not be limited to: Processing weekly payrolls Extracting employee hours from the Time & Attendance system Matching and verifying piecework job tickets Inputting wage data into payroll templates/software Performing verification checks and resolving payroll queries Producing payroll reports and maintaining electronic records Creating Excel spreadsheets and KPIs for the management team, including nominal coding analysis Updating records for holidays, sickness, pensions, and personnel files Handling HR tasks including documentation for starters and leavers Screening job applications before passing them to Departmental Managers Supporting other payroll and HR-related duties as needed Skills & Experience: Previous experience in a payroll and/or HR role is essential Proficiency in payroll software and Time & Attendance systems is required Strong working knowledge of Excel and Word Excellent organisational and communication skills Experience supervising team members would be desirable Working Hours: Monday – Friday: 8:00am – 4:30pm (30-minute lunch break) Total: 37.5 hours per weekFlexible option: Hours can be reduced to 30 per week (pro-rata) basis, e.g., Monday – Thursday, 8:00am – 1:30pm (no lunch break) Salary & Benefits: Salary: £33,000 (negotiable)On-site parkingCompany pension schemeDeath in service benefitAnnual profit share scheme (subject to company performance) If you're an experienced Payroll and HR professional looking for a new opportunity within a supportive and successful business, apply now or contact Sally at Headway Recruitment.
