Out of hours, this post is part of the Obstetrics and Gynaecology on-call provision, covering both labour ward and gynaecological emergency services. The successful candidate will work on the senior tier of a 3-tier rota (SHO, middle grade, senior grade).
Research opportunities are available and actively encouraged.

Urogynaecology
We are a BSUG accredited unit with an RCOG approved subspecialty training programme, and receive local, regional, and national referrals. We offer all NICE recommended treatment options for prolapse and incontinence but have particular expertise in minimal access surgery (laparoscopic sacrohysteropexy, laparoscopic sacrocolpopexy, laparoscopic colposuspension).
The key emphasis is on MDT working alongside specialist nurses and physiotherapists. There is a twice-monthly dedicated MDT for Urogynaecology, and joint MDTs with the pelvic pain team and the colorectal team once a month. There is opportunity to participate in clinical research.
