About the Role
We’re on the lookout for a proactive and skilled Operations Technician to join our Central Engineering Services team, supporting customers across Scotland. This is a fully remote, mobile position – you'll operate from your home base, with a company vehicle provided, and take full ownership of your schedule and diary.
You’ll play a key role in delivering technical support to a wide range of industries, working independently while staying connected with a highly collaborative and supportive engineering team.
What You’ll Be Doing
* Carrying out planned and defect maintenance on a range of systems
* Diagnosing and repairing faults to ensure system reliability
* Providing outstanding service and acting as the face of our engineering team on
* customer sites across Scotland
* Managing your own calendar and schedule to meet both customer and business needs
* Working closely with project engineers to support system installations and
* commissioning
* Guiding and mentoring apprentices, trainees, and contractors once fully trained
* Sourcing and purchasing equipment, parts, and materials for workshop use
* Contributing to continuous improvement initiatives and problem-solving activities
What You’ll Bring
* A vocational qualification in mechanical, electrical, or instrumentation engineering (or
* equivalent experience)
* Welding experience would be highly beneficial, though not essential
* A genuine desire to learn, grow, and share knowledge with others
* A collaborative mindset and strong interpersonal skills
* A proactive approach and the ability to build strong customer relationships
* A high level of personal integrity and commitment to safety and compliance
* Strong self-management skills and confidence working independently in the field
