The CGC is a small but growing cross-disciplinary team of professionals with a focus on supporting the Governments ambition for Cambridge. In April 2024 Homes England was commissioned to work with MHCLG officials to establish an incorporated growth company to act as an interim delivery body for the Secretary of States ambitions for Cambridge this is the Cambridge Growth Company (CGC), a subsidiary of Homes England. The growth company was incorporated on 15th May 2024 is a stepping stone to a potential long-term delivery vehicle. The CGC works with local government to establish the best long-term business case to fund infrastructural improvements water supplies, the transport network, education, health, and the natural environment, ensuring that as much as possible is delivered from the increase in the land value of the sites to be developed. Job description The role will provide a first-class executive support service to the Chair of the Cambridge Growth Company (CGC), enabling them to focus on their priorities and deliver on the CGCs core objectives and ambitions. They will provide a wide array of support services to the Chair, including being the central contact point and gatekeeper for the Chairs schedule and proactively and flexibly managing diary appointments. The role will anticipate the needs of the Chair and show initiative in problem solving. They will support the Chair in preparing for meetings through the provision of briefings and meeting materials. The role will be a key contact point for meetings / events taking place across Greater Cambridge. They will consider and manage logistical challenges to ensure the delivery of professional, well organised and highly effective events Person specification You will use your strategic knowledge and understanding to optimise the effectiveness of the executive leaders by working in partnership and providing a professional, proactive executive assistant service. Using your ability to communicate with and influence senior leaders, you will have significant experience and understanding of strategic priorities to effectively support an executive director to execute these. You will have experience, with a proven track record, of providing excellent EA support at an executive level or above, together with experience and knowledge of working effectively with numerous stakeholders including senior stakeholders in ministerial offices, the private sector and partners across Greater Cambridge. You will be able to work calmly and effectively when under pressure and against upcoming deadlines. You will have a positive can-do attitude and will be proactive in identifying emerging challenges and providing solutions. You will be articulate, dynamic, energetic and self-motivated.
